“I just shook his hand. I’m never washing my hands again!” a certain Concord Academy student said.

Rumor has it that a CA student has fallen in love with a mystery man who once visited the school as a speaker for Kim Frederick’s US: American Suburbs class. Though there is still much that remains to be discovered about who this man is, the Centipede has received some information about who this guy may be.

“It’s time for me to become more involved in the state and county government. I’ll attend some climate summits and volunteer with some county fundraisers. Maybe I’ll see him in the halls of the state house,” the student said. In another instance, the student shared, “High school is a time to experiment, even if that means falling in love with someone who has a wife and two kids.”

CA students often love to consider any options that deviate from what they are used to during their years at CA. Why else would there be so much talk at the end of each school year about next year’s Thai Scholars and new Sophomores and Juniors? Yet, it seems CA students, in the end, always end up becoming too mundane.

“CA’s a small school, after all. It’s not the fault of CA students that we have become too used to each other after a while. Maybe for others, there's hope that some new musical talents will come along with the opening of the Centennial Arts Center, but I'll have graduated by then,” the student said.

Although it is quite unfortunate that this student is unwilling to give the men at CA a chance, they are quite adamant that there are no men at this school that fit “their type.” “As soon as I saw him, I knew at once that the men at CA couldn’t begin to compare,” they lamented. The student did say that there was one thing that might make them start giving men at CA a chance: a school dress code consisting of a blazer, collared shirt, necktie, and dress pants. The student explained, “I really have a soft spot for men in formal attire. Before then, though, visitors are all I’ve got.”

The student urged other CA students to follow in their footsteps. “I just think it’s time students start paying more attention to the assemblies. Who knows if that could be when they find their next crush or potentially even their future partner!”
