Hey Larry,

No matter how hard I try, I can’t lock in. I’ve told myself the same thing every semester—the academic comeback will happen soon. First I promised myself I’d do my missing assignments over Family Weekend, which turned into Thanksgiving break—until I was beyond saving. Will the comeback ever happen???

SOS,

Academically Screwed

Hi Academically Screwed,

Try studying in short spurts—maybe fifteen minutes each with a five-minute break in between. Don’t keep telling yourself the comeback will “happen,” get up and start doing your work. You got this (hopefully)!

Best of luck,

Larry

Larry,

I’ll admit it—I think I have a social media addiction. Specifically, an Instagram reels addiction. When sitting down to do my homework, I always find myself endlessly scrolling before even opening a book. Help!!!

Yours truly,

Brainrotted student

Hey Brainrotted Student,

Social media gets the best of everyone these days—it’s so easy to keep scrolling for hours. Set time limits on your phone, or even better, delete Instagram once and for all—your teachers will thank you.

Happy studying,

Larry

Greetings Larry,

After six long, hard months at school, I’ve been going broke from ordering DoorDash. The Stu food is good, I just, sometimes, can’t find the energy to walk over. I know it’s unhealthy, but Chipotle tastes so good after a long day of studying… what do I do?

Best regards,

Chronic Doordasher

Hello Chronic Doordasher,

Get up and walk to the Stu—you most likely need the exercise. Maybe don’t cut out DoorDash completely, but limit it to once or twice a week. Chipotle isn’t going anywhere, but your money surely is.

With love,

Larry
